By-products- The first of its kind Chemical products manufactured in the Co-operative Sector Viz- Acetic Acid, Ethyl Acetate, Acetic Anhydride & Bulk Drugs along with country liquor Alcohol, ENA, Ethanol etc.
These are Organic Chemicals having wide applications and are used as intermediates and solvents in many industries like Pharmaceuticals, Paints, Textiles, Dyes, Food, Drugs, Adhesives, Pesticides, Explosives etc.
Ethyl Acetate plant was installed in year 1985 with an initial capacity of 5 M.T./ Per day which was further expanded to 25 M.T./ Per day (it is used in dyes pigments, paints, pharma and plastic industry). The raw material for manufacturing Ethyl Acetate is Acetic Acid and Ethyl Alcohol.
In 1993, Acetic Anhydride plant was installed with the capacity of 10 M.T./ Per day Acetic acid is major raw material of Acetic Anhydride (it is used in pharma, plastic cellulose acetate and textile industry).
H2S We are scrubing raw biogas for purification. During purification Sulphur is removed & Sulphur Free pure-biogas (Methane) supplied to bio powerengine.
Before concluding this brief summary of the multifarious activities of this institution, a word needs to be said about the almost single handed contribution to its success by its founder Chairman, Late Hon’ble Shri. Shankarraoji Genuji Kolhe, M.L.A. Ex-Minister Maharashtra State, through whose vision & missionary Zeal it was established and nurtured. His vision and blessings even today continues to guide not only the sugar factory & its growing multifarious activities but also the various allied sponsored institutions.
As a result of his vigorous & untiring efforts, with complete devotion and dedication, there is no doubt that the above activities have continued to grow and flourish and thereby help to transform this once backward & barren rural area, into a model Tehsil, buzzing with all round industrial, educational and Social activities, which is bound to make its mark for emulation not only in our State of Maharashtra, but also in our country as a model Agro-Industrial Community.
